ARMAGEDDON

Armageddon began with a question: where does the body end and the world begin?
Developed over eight years, the work brings bodies, landscapes, surfaces and fragments into unstable relationships, allowing the distinction between them to become uncertain. Through photography, collage, and textile, the body shifts between presence and disappearance, becoming part of its surroundings rather than remaining a fixed subject.

The work grew through a long process of photographing, returning, editing and reassembling images. Rather than fixing the body as a subject, the photographs allow it to become something else- a surface, a fragment, a landscape, a trace.  The resulting images resist a single way of reading, leaving space for associations to form between the body and the world around it.

Armageddon was published as a photobook in Finland in 2025. The project is now entering a new material and spatial phase, with the photographic archive being reconfigured through collage, textile and installation.
